Community Facilitator

The core of my practice is creating and facilitating brave spaces where communities can explore incidents and topics that include discomfort, conflict or harm. I aim to hold spaces that allow for a deeper level of vulnerability, honest communication, and both personal and community growth. I am dedicated to creating a space where everyone involved belongs and feels empowered to share —without compromising the wellbeing and safety of the folks who are most vulnerable within the group. I work with the group to minimize the possibility and extent of harm, and to allow for folks in the community to be brave and reach toward growth.

I specialize in working with artistic communities, young adults, college communities and communities supporting survivors of sexual violence and/or misogyny. I am passionate about sharing tools and language for communities to create more inclusive spaces where everyone is entitled to respect, dignity and a sense of belonging.

I bring a consciousness to navigating the systems of power in the room into creating community agreements, and moderating how space is taken up. I believe that people are more open to being accountable and growing when they don’t feel attacked or shamed. I believe in specific accountability over general punishment, and that this work can and must be done for communities to grow and heal together.

I often use embodied theatre-based exercises to activate a group at the beginning, and somatic tools for re-centering and grounding at the end of every session.
